Enterprise Mobility

Organizations these days are looking to mobilize their business processes to improve customer services and achieve highest customer retention, resulting in rapid increase of the enterprise mobility market. Everyone is becoming tech savvy nowadays and Mobile has become a part of everyday’s life as it is now considered as the best tool for performance improvement. Most of the organizations are looking forward to adapt enterprise mobility as it allows the employees to use the resources outside the premises of the organization as well. As a result it creates employee satisfaction as they get flexibility to work remotely and increases the productivity of the organization. With increasing demand of flexible working hours, employees get inclined towards companies offering to work remotely even if the package is comparatively low. The current employees prefer to use their own devices rather than desktops provided by the employer. This device familiarity factor has given rise to BYOD allowing the employee to deliver his best as per the potential. BYOD also enables the business to reduce Overhead expenses and use that budget in improving business processes by implementing Mobility strategy within the organization.

Furthermore, Enterprise Mobility is now backed with the rise in ‘Internet of Things’ and ‘Cloud’ technologies being referred to as the next big thing in the world of technology; it has created tremendous growth in the mobile work force. The concept of Enterprise Mobility largely depends on the growth of cloud platforms as the capacity of business servers containing all organizational data is limited and so needs to be connected to the cloud network which delivers instantaneous data across the globe. The devices connected to the cloud network makes the organizational data accessible remotely from a user’s device such as mobile, tablets etc. providing real time analytics of business activities to the management for taking real time decisions. Data presentations can be modified according to the needs of the business and Enterprise Mobility Apps can be designed/customized to simplify business processes, as they are easy to use and data sharing amongst the employees of the company.

With several advantages of implementing a Mobile strategy for business, there are quite a few challenges that must be taken into consideration to ensure successful transition and full returns on the investment. One of the main challenges faced while mobilizing the business processes is data security. As the organizational data servers are connected to the cloud network this makes the data vulnerable on the internet with the possibility of the data being hacked or corrupted.  The remote device, once connected to the business server, contains sensitive information which can easily be stolen and misused. As the cloud is powered by Internet, it is always vulnerable to external threats and security of the data must be ensured to avoid online frauds. Enterprise Mobility offers standard protocols for Password Protection, Data Encryption and Remote Wipe that secures the data and restricts unauthorized access. With strong data encryption techniques, only authorized personnel of the business can access the data after single or multiple stage authentications.

The rising trend of businesses adapting Enterprise Mobility is set to create the next generation of professionals who will be highly motivated to deliver better quality with complete freedom to work from anywhere and at anytime.
